Simple Pleasures, found

Yesterday, I boo-hooed about lost simple pleasures. So, I thought it would be advantageous to consider the simple pleasures that I have gained since becoming a mom.

I love:
  • Hearing my boys laugh
  • JT even more since he became a dad
  • Their little hands in mine
  • Reading children’s books
  • Hearing, “I love you Mommy”
  • Listening to them play together
  • Their smiles
  • Playing with their toys
  • Seeing the world through their eyes
  • The funny things they say and do
  • When they are so excited that they express it through all parts of their being
  • Decorating their rooms
  • Watching them sleep peacefully
  • Teaching life skills
  • Doing “fun activities” with them
  • Their innocence
  • That they are friends
  • Being a family
  • And SO much more!

I enjoy watching my 7 year old daughter show kindness to others & I am amazed at her lack of fear of horse riding! I guess I have done a fairly good job of hiding my own fear and just cheering her on at her lessons. (I rode a horse once as a teen and I had no training-I would not recommend that:)
